Celebration Cakes

  1. Two weeks notice is normally required for celebration cakes, however we can sometimes work to shorter deadlines so it is always worth asking us.
  2. A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total price is required at the time of ordering. This amount will be deducted from the final balance. The remaining balance is due on collection.
  3. Cakes not paid for will not be released from our premises until the balance of the account has been settled.
  4. Payment may be made by cash or debit or credit card. We no longer accept cheques.
  5. Where cakes are ordered with less than two weeks notice the full balance is payable when placing the order.

Wedding Cakes

  1. A non refundable deposit of £50 is required to book a wedding cake. This amount will be deducted from the final balance. The final balance is payable no less than 14 days before the collection/delivery date. Bespoke Bakery reserves the right to cancel any order not paid for by the due date.
  2. If a wedding is cancelled, although we appreciate that the circumstances may be beyond the customer's control, the deposit is non refundable. However, if the cake is cancelled before it has been baked we will allow the amount of the deposit to be used against the purchase of another cake ordered within 12 months of the original order.
  3. If the customer chooses to collect the wedding cake from Bespoke Bakery, the cake(s) will be supplied in boxes with all pillars/ornaments etc as ordered, but Bespoke Bakery takes no responsibility for the items once they have left our premises.
  4. Wedding cakes may contain inedible items such as plastic pillars, dowels, sugar flowers or ornaments containing wires, plastic posy picks etc. These items must be removed from the cake before it is served and care must be taken when cutting the cake to ensure no inedible items are cut up with the cake.
  5. Where fabric swatches have been supplied for colour matching, we will make every effort to match colours as required but do not guarantee that the colours will match.
  6. Wedding cakes should normally be ordered 3-6 months in advance to avoid disappointment as we do get booked up at certain times of the year. However, if your timescale is shorter than 3 months, do please ask us as we are sometimes able to oblige depending on the complexity of the design.
  7. Payment may be made by cash or credit/debit card. We do not accept cheques.
  8. We offer a delivery and set up service for wedding cakes. This service is free within a 10 mile radius of our premise, £45 from 10 to 20 miles from of our premises. Over 20 miles is charged at £45 + £0.50 per each additional mile, both ways.
  9. In the event of non production or non delivery of a cake due to circumstances beyond our control, Bespoke Bakery's liability shall be limited to the amount paid to Bespoke Bakery for the cake.
